I’m finding that my gifts of time, energy and effort are tending to be the most valuable, and this one supports that theory. This weekend I decided that while playing with my daughter Talia I would turn off the TV, and offer my full undivided attention. I did this all weekend, and I was rewarded with kisses and hugs. Priceless. I know this sounds small, but I find myself always having something on that distracts me from being fully present with her. Laptops and blackberries included. When I give her my undivided attention, we can spend hours counting, reading, or just playing. It’s really an amazing shift.
